/Makes slaves of men” (Percy Bysshe Shelley).
     b.  A source of persistent annoyance or exasperation: “The spellings of foreign names
are often the bane of busy copy editors” (Norm Goldstein).

3.  A deadly poison.

Why is Shane the bane of my existence? Well, she isn’t literally—she doesn’t cause me misery or death. I’m obviously a fan. But when you think about it, there’s nothing more exasperating (see entry 2b) than being a fan. For a more... poetic... answer, read "Shane is the Bane of My Existence."

Am I Katherine Moennig? Do you really think Kate would make a site about herself like this?

Who am I then? Just a fan.

Does Katherine Moennig or Ilene Chaiken or anybody affiliated with The L Word sponsor or endorse this site?
